“Thank you so much for what you did for me. You did what at least 4 other dentists were unable or unwilling to do–you saved my front teeth. When everyone else said my teeth would have to be pulled, you looked at my situation differently; you saw alternatives. Your wisdom and experience benefited me tremendously. I will be forever grateful for that. Thank you also for your kindness and patience throughout this whole process. I love my new crowns! My teeth look and feel amazing. I am so happy and I feel whole again. Thank you for giving me back my smile.”

“Thank you for your high skill and gentle touch.” Dr. R.B.

“Words are inadequate to express my appreciation. Your professionalism and kindness are unparalleled. I thank you from the bottom of my heart.” M.R.

“I have been coming to Dr. Koranyi for dental care for 30 years, and I would go to no one else.” C.W.

Implant or Tooth
Can You Choose?

Let us help you make the right choice that is best for you!

Dental Implants have become a common and mostly predictable support for replacing missing teeth. They are not the same as natural teeth. Implant supported tooth replacement teeth do not function like your own teeth.

Natural teeth are supported in their bone sockets with a complex sling system that acts like shock absorbers to spread the chewing forces to a wide area of the jaw bone.

When a tooth is extracted, the supporting system is removed along with the tooth.

A dental implant is an artificial “root” that is anchored solidly in the bone. Unlike teeth, the implant conducts the chewing forces directly to the jaw bone. That is why artificial teeth that are supported by dental implants are designed to minimize the chewing forces, and are different than natural teeth.

Your Dentist must monitor the bone regularly, and if unhealthy changes occur in the bone around implants, the bone has to be treated to avoid losing the implant.

Natural teeth that are broken or not functioning properly can often be repaired or restored to function and comfort. An experienced Dentist can often avoid extraction of a natural tooth by restoring the tooth so dental implants and artificial teeth would not be needed.

The examination including the dental and health history are essential in determining whether a tooth can be “saved” or not. If the tooth cannot be restored or repaired, then a dental implant anchor and artificial tooth is the best option to replace the tooth.

Only a highly trained dental practitioner can decide if the treatment will be an implant or a repaired natural tooth.

Let us help you make the right choice that is best for you.
